The CFI Board of Directors met at the Academy of Textiles and Flooring last Saturday, July 10th, 2010. The meeting was very successful as the Board covered many topics including the upcoming Connections Convention, upcoming education events, CFI’s upcoming election cycle, and a new insurance program for CFI members. Bobbie Williams was a great host, as always, and even served an Italian lunch followed by some excellent Gelato. Below are some pictures from the meeting.

Dear CFI members,

Over the weekend about two weeks ago we held a small class at my shop here in Van Nuys, Ca. The following Monday, the toilet in my shop became clogged up. So, I did the usual plunging, pouring bleach, ect. That seemed to work, but after a few days, the toilet became clogged up again. So I plunged more, added drain cleaner (which I hear is bad for the wax ring) but the toilet did not want to drain. So today, after one VERY frustrating week of plunging and pouring various chemicals down the toilet, I called the management company for my building and they sent out the handyman. After a few hours of snaking the drain line through the clean out, this is what he pulled out…….

A green scrubbing pad!!!

And I didn’t even have any here at my shop!

Someone actually brought a green scrubbing pad to the class and flushed it down my toilet!

I cannot believe that someone would flush that down a toilet!!!

I know life is full of lessons, and the lesson here is DONT FLUSH A GREEN SCRUBBING PAD DOWN A TOILET, ESPECIALLY SOMEONE ELSE’S TOILET!!!!!

Thanks for reading this post!
